Hayley Gallery is proud to announce it was nominated for the 2015 Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Community Arts Partnership (CAP) Award that recognizes crucial contributions to the arts community in Columbus. Hayley Gallery was nominated in the small business category and is the only art gallery to receive a nomination. To be nominated, a business must have less than 50 employees and have offered current, creative and innovative support to one or more art organizations in Columbus throughout the past year.
Celebrating its 8th anniversary with a celebration on November 13th and 14th, Hayley Gallery represents local Ohio artists almost exclusively. As a steadfast supporter of arts in Ohio, the gallery has given tours to over 1,000 elementary, middle and high school students, employed 18 high school and college interns for course credit, selected the yearly artist-in-residence for the New Albany Symphony Orchestra and committed half its gallery space to New Albany High School and Columbus Academy art students in conjunction with their art exhibitions.
In addition, Hayley Gallery has made generous contributions to Pelotonia, New Albany Women’s Network, New Albany Athletic Boosters, Columbus Jewish Day School, Marburn Academy, Columbus Museum of Art, Relay for Life, Art for Life, See Kids Dream, Junior League, and the Arthritis Foundation, among many other deserving organizations.
Winners of the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Community Arts Partnership (CAP) awards will be announced at a luncheon to be held at COSI on October 15.
